Google forces Nexus 6 back to Android 7.0


The way Google has handled Nexus users since it launched the Pixel line of smartphones leaves a lot to be desired, and Nexus 6 users are once again shoved around in a way that will leave them wondering if their next smartphone should still be an Android device.

Long time Nexus fans were less than pleased with the arrival of the Nexus 6, not that it wasn't a good smartphone... but because it's $649 price tag. A problem that Google has finally decided to fix.

Android 5.1 speeds up Nexus 6 with some tweaks from Franco Kernel


Google has stopped selling the Nexus 5, saying it will allow them to focus on the Nexus 6 - and the new Android 5.1 seems to show some of that new-found love, with some under the hood tweaks that you could already find in Francisco Franco's popular Franco Kernel.

Nexus 6 has a secret notification LED


The new Nexus 6 may have a AMOLED screen that enables it to just light the pixels needed to show notification messages, but some users might miss having a regular multi-colored LED light. Well, what you may not know is that it does have a RGB notification LED, but it's hidden from sight and disabled.
