Canon 550D / Rebel T2i

Looks like Canon is about to have another winner. Theirs Canon 550D / Rebel T2i seems to deliver everything you would might expect for it.

For all those wanting to create videos with a cinematic look in Full HD 1080p at 24/25/30 fps, this model will offer an unbeatable quality/price ratio (when compared to a 5D/7D for instance.)

While we'll still have to wait a couple more weeks for it to reach to market, you can check the following video in full HD 1080p glory in YouTube, to see what this pre-production model 550D is capable of:

  1. If you are looking to shoot HD videos for the price this camera is excellent. It is comparable to the Canon 7d and half of the cost. Make sure you buy 16gb Sdhc cards or larger as recording in full 1080p uses a lot of space. Also the lens that comes with this camera is "average" and not very good. I would suggest buying the body only and saving up for a better lens ( not to much more) in the $300 price range. What the better lenses allow are able to shoot in less light and provide a further zoom range. Overall this is an amazing product but there is A LOT to learn, so take your time and enjoy.

  4. oh yes....i already have this camera...such a nice instrument.. it is hard to categorize because it has a body for entry level camera but it has a picture quality that is considered as a mid-pro and it shoots movie at full hd which is similar to a mid pro camera 7D
