Viewsonic Teases 4K LCD Monitor
Just the other day we were talking about an affordable 27" computer monitor with 2560x1440 resolution, but... why settle with so little? Why not get ready for the true next-gen resolutions?
That's exactly what we can hope to do with this 31.5" ViewSonic VP3280-LED monitor, which ups the ante with "4K" resolution. Meaning.. 3840 x 2160 pixels, with 10bit color resolution to sum it up.
The i5 computer it was attached to wasn't even capable of pushing enough pixels to show full motion video at such resolutions (though I don't know why that would depend on the CPU and not on the graphic card being used.)
Anyway, it serve to point that, no matter how fast our current systems get... the future is bound to come and push us "back" to sub-optimal frame rates... Anyway, wa can always imagine what kind of definition you'll be able to get with these screens. A privilege that, for now, will cost you about the same as a car!
