MEGA offers you 50GB of Encrypted Cloud Storage

Kim Dotcom is back - and we could say "with a vengeance"! MegaUpload might be dead, but this MEGA promises to be bigger and better than ever. Exactly 1 year after the US Government destroyed MegaUpload, this MEGA opened its doors to the public, and millions of new users rushed in (straining the system to the point that lots of people were unable to login).

Why should you care? Well, MEGA offers you 50GB of free cloud space, a nice amount to keep a backup of most people's critical data. And although the data is encrypted so no one else can access it (unless you share your keys with them), nothig stops you from encrypting your data yourself - if you want to be sure.

The encryption part is one of MEGA's most touted features, as it means that even if anyone requests your data... they won't be able to make any sense of what you're storing there.

For now, the site offers the basic operations (upload, download, sharing, etc.) but it's expected to expand to mobile and desktop apps in the future, to make it even simpler to use.

And if 50GB aren't enough, you can get a Pro account starting at 500GB for $9.99/month.
