Airships fly once again

Airships will forever be tied to the Hidenburg disaster but, can't modern science use the same basic principles that allow for efficient air travel and turn it into a much safer and economic way of traveling?

It can indeed, and that's exactly what companies like Aeros are trying to do with the Aeroscraft ML866 (pictured on the right).

The first prototypes are expected to lift up in 2010.

I sincerely hope they succeed.
