In a time where more and more people get internet enabled mobile devices with GPS, pedestrian navigation is bound to become more important than ever before.

Although GPS is useful for navigation, navigating on foot has some special requirements in order to be truly useful. That's why this visually assisted navigation shows just how much is still left to be done.



Just a few years ago it would seem an impossible task, but now... just look at all the data you currently have from projects like Google's Streetview.All that visual data can provide sub-meter location accuracy and precision, essential for a nice on-foot navigation.
