Well, looks like all these troubles are about to end, thanks to Microsoft InstaLoad.
Basically, it's a system that allows you to place the batteries in any orientation you want, and it just works!
It's quite simple - and reminds us how even the most "basic" things can still be revolutionized -a flat surface makes contact with the negative side of the battery, while a small recessed area makes contact with just the positive side.
Let's hope everyone starts using this InstaLoad system, pronto!
