iPad Mini Ignores Fingers Holding the Device

Apple decided to trim down the side bezels on the iPad mini and although it may look nice... we have to remember that those large bezels also had a functional purpose: allowing you to grab the tablet without touching the screen.

Now, that safety border around the screen is gone, and if you ever gone "mad" by accidentally touching a trackpad area while typing on a laptop and moving the cursor around, you might be thing just how crazy things will get with the iPad mini.

But fear not... Apple say it's aware of the issue and that is has taken care of it:
iPad mini intelligently recognizes whether your thumb is simply resting on the display or whether you’re intentionally interacting with it. It’s the kind of detail you’ll notice — by not noticing it.
Looks like the first step for a truly "bezel-less" touch device... I sure can't wait to put this system to the test and really find out if it's really as "unoticeable" as they claim.
