Well, it's once again that time of the year. The time when people get closer together, and let go even if for just a while of all the worries they carry during the rest of the year.
I admit I'm not a big fan of Christmas - though I fondly remember the times I was, as a kid, and the expectation of what presents I would get that year. But time has it's way of wearing us down, and as you grow older, the magic subsides, and the marketing becomes more apparent.
But this year I think I'm about to do a reset. With a new small(ish) family member, Christmas has once again reason to exist - even if just for the opportunity to fill a child's eye with awe and amazement, and inspire them to dream and imagine and aspire to greater things - to achieve the impossible, to reach for the stars!
Because I suspect that some of their amazement rubs off on us as well... :)
