Muzzley wants to free our home from any specific brand or protocol
When we think of smart homes, we imagine amazing places where everything seems to work like magic - but reality is far less glamorous. Now there's a new app in town that hopes to make our dreams come true... and it's made in Portugal: let me introduce you to Muzzley.
When you begin adding "smart stuff" to your home, you'll soon have to deal with multiple devices from multiple manufacturers, using multiple (and incompatible) protocols; meaning that you often end up having to use one app to control one set of lights, other app for another set, and that temperature sensor you bought may end up not being used at all, as you can't tie it up to other devices.
With Muzzley you can say goodbye to all that. Muzzley is platform that aims to unify all "smart devices" and allow you to control and monitor everything using a single app (Android, iOS and Windows Phone). This means you'll no longer have to worry about having some Philips Hue lamps next to some WeMo lamps, or a Withing smartscale that you wish to tie to your lamps to turn them green when you're on your target weight.
For now Muzzley integrates with NEST, Philips Hue, WeMO, D-Link cameras, Withings smartscale, plant sensors, GPS trackers, and is expanding the device list continuously.
But wait, there's more. The goal of a smart home is not to have a place where you're required to press buttons to each and every action you need, but to have you home know what you need. Muzzley does that by learning your habits and routines, and suggesting the things you're likely to do. If you turn off your lamps everyday at midnight, Muzzley may suggest you to create an action to save you from that.
If you like to tinker with electronics there are even some examples on things like creating a Muzzley controllable RGB LED strip.
If you're tired of using dozens of apps to control your home, it's time to stop letting your home control you, and put Muzzley to the test. You'll be surprised with what it can do for you. :)
