Google turns your smarpthone into a Star Wars lightsaber

Google is still in full Star Wars mode, and it now brings us a new experience no Star Wars fan will be able to escape: turning our smartphones into lightsabers in this Lightsaber Escape.

All you have to is to visit the Lightsaber Escape page in your desktop or smartphone. In there you'll be given a link to open in your other device (if you're on a smartphone you'll see a link to open in your desktop Chrome browser; if you're on a desktop you'll see a link to open in your smartphone.) This will link up your smartphone with your desktop, and after a small calibration process, your smartphone will turn into a virtual lightsaber you can move around to fight the enemies on your desktop screen.

This mini game is actually a "Chrome Experiment" developed by Google, Disney, Lucasfilm, and Industrial Light & Magic; but I think they wouldn't even need to have gone so far. Lots of fans wouldn't mind having something that would simply allow them to wave their smartphones around and create the characteristic lightsaber sound effects. Though there are no shortage of apps that will take care of that for you.

Considering we're in full premiere mode for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, I guess it won't be hard to hear those sounds as you stand in line waiting for your turn to see it. :)
