Microsoft shows us its vision for the future of Productivity

Before we get "futuristic stuff" in the future, first we need for people to dream and imagine how things will be, inspiring others to create technology that will allow those dreams to become real. Microsoft shares its amazing vision with us, of how things might be in 5 to 10 years time.

iPad vs Magazine for a 1y old Baby

For most of us, a Tablet like the iPad is something we've always wished for since we were children and saw our first science fiction TV shows and movies. Although it's nice to finally have something real that enables us to perform what 20 years ago seemed "impossible"; one can't stop but wonder: what kind of new "amazing" ideas will today's children imagine of for the next decades?

Maybe they'll dream of transformer vehicles or wall-sized screens, but as far as tablets and books are concerned, one can expect them to be just like this 1y old baby - who seem to think that a paper magazine is simply a broken tablet that doesn't work. :)

Robot Penguins - The Dawn of the Linux Era?

I don't know if Linux is planning to take over the world using these robotic penguins, but no one can deny this video from FESTO showcasing their bionic projects is trule amazing. From those robotic penguins to ondulating walls and several other impressive machines, this is truly a sign of things to come.

I Am Legend - Future movies and Gas prices

The good thing about movies portraying near future scenarios is that you often get a glimpse of "small" details inserted into some scenes.

In Will Smith's I Am Legend, look at what you can see on one of the scenes:



Isn't that a Batman VS Superman movie poster? Who knows, maybe they're just creating the buzz to see see how the public reacts... :)

Have you noticed the gas prices? 6.63 USD for regular Mobil gas, ouch. That's double from now.
And considering the "world" was in that state for nearly 3 years, those prices should be from sometime next year.
