Get 2 extra GB of Google space by checking your security settings
Celebrating the Safer Internet Day, Google has decided to offer a small token of appreciation should you check your current security settings: 2 extra gigabytes of Google Drive space... to keep forever.
If you need a quick and easy way to bump your current Google storage space by 2GB, you need only head up to Google's security checkup, where you'll be guided through a few swift steps, like: checking your recovery information is updated; your recent activity shows no suspicions logins; and that all the apps that can currently access your Google account are all in order (keep in mind there may be some "strange" entries in there should you have an Android phone, for system services.)
If you do it till February 17, you'll get 2GB of space added to your account (if you're eligible). And no need to worry about not seeing it at once. Google will only add it on the end of the month.
A small and very appreciated token that may help ease up the fact that the 10GB extra space they gave thanks to QuickOffice will expire later this year:
* You can check your current status on Google Storage Settings.
