Aquai Puck - Smart Home Water Meter

Want to keep your water usage in check? Then check the Aquai Puck on Indiegogo and see what it can do for you.

One of the first steps in any so-called Smart Home, is to have any kind of smart metering that allows us to see what we are using (without that, it's pointless to try and save money, if you don't actually know what is wasting most of your money.)

Though there's no shortage of kits of all sorts and sizes (and prices) to check how much electricity you use, for water things get more complicated. That's precisely what Aquai Puck wants to fix, with easy to install modules and affordable prices, that will allow you to keep an eye on what's using most water. You need only to install a Aquai Puck sensor inline with the water input of the thing you want to measure, and it will keep a record you can check using a smarpthone or tablet.

Better yet, you can add a WiFi plug that allows you to see all the data from multiple modules even if you're away from home (as long as you have Internet, of course).

If you hurry, you may catch a Aquai Puck for just $25, while a kit with a sensor + WiFi plug goes for $54. The worst part is that you'll have to wait till June 2016 to get it, provided no unexpected delays push that date even further.
