Gmails gets Undo Send from the labs section

Ever watched, in terror, an email being sent just as you realized you were sending it to the wrong person? If so, Google helps save you from it with the recently promoted "undo send" feature.

Tired of receiving emails whenever someone mentions you on a Tweet, or answers you on Facebook, or contacts you via Foursquare, or sends a message via YouTube, Ebay, LinkedIn, or Google+?

This Notification Control is handy shortcut list that allows you to quickly jump to each service notification settings, where you'll be able to turn it off or adjust it as you wish. It certain beat having to look for each and every settings page in each service (not to mention that some of those might not be easy to find.)

This way, you don't have to worry about giving permissions to a 3rd party service, as this site will just provide the links to each service official pages.
Might come in handy when your email notifications get out of control.

How to Delete Emails in iOS4 on the iPhone

One of the least expected surprises when you update your iPhone to the new iOS4 is: how can you delete emails in iOS4?

The usual swipe to delete gesture now pops up a "archive" button, and even if you press the trashcan icon when reading an email it actually gets archived and not deleted (can't imagine what those guys at Cupertino were thinking when they implemented it this way!)

Well, thankfully you can revert this gesture back to its more logical action and make swipe delete emails again.

You need to go into Settings->Email, select the affected email account, and simply turn off the archive messages option:

It's not really a secret, but most people might actually find it hard to find an option you have to turn off in order to work right. From now on you can safely delete email messages, knowing they'll be thrown in the trash and not archived next to your more important emails.
