EZTV is dead - taken over by scammers

After nearly 10 years, EZTV is no more. Its creator has given up on trying to regain his pet project, and all EZTV sites and related accounts now belong to scammers trying to make as much profit as possible from the hard earned reputation the site acquired over the years.

EZTV is Down once again

We can't say EZTV web life has been easy.

This popular torrent site dedicated to TV shows has been through ups and downs and ups.

Unfortunately, it seems to be down again without any explanation.

It might be a simple technical problem - or - it can be one further action against any and every torrent site.

In EZTV's case, all content are just TV shows that can be freely recorded from TV - and then shared among friends; just like people did back in the Beta/VHS days. I still recall having friends shipping me TV shows recorded in VHS tapes from overseas so I could enjoy classic TV shows like - Knight Rider, V, Galactica, etc.


When will they understand the world has changed and we no longer can put up with "geographic restrictions" that keeps millions of users away from their favorite TV shows just because they live in the "wrong" region?

EZTV is providing a public service - TV producers would better take advantage of it instead of fighting it.

For all you doubters out there: EZTV is finally back online.

So, no more worrying about conspiracy theories and dark things going on with this reference site that allows people all over the world to follow their favorite tv series!

EZTV is Down

Some of you may have noticed that the EZTV site has been down for the last couple of days ... but don't worry, it will return promptly.

Here's what's happening with it:

EZTV Website down due to hardware issues, we are looking into the matter.

Talk about news! With TPB changing ownership and all that crazy kind
of stuff, we are deciding to move our servers to a different datacenter.
What does this means to you guys? Unfortunately it means there will be
a few more days of downtime while we get our servers transfered
to the new location. We seem to be having the best of luck lately!

We have taken this downtime period to do some updates to the website
and the server. To everyone that have been coming up with theories
about what happened, you are all wrong :)
We have not been raided, there is no legal concerns, it is simply
a bad situation that we are hoping to benefit from.
We hope to be back up and operational soon.

EZTV site down again

EZTV seems to be down once again. Let's hope this is just a temporary thing.

For now it's impossible to say if it's due to a simple maintenance issue, or if something serious is happening (with so many other torrent trackers being shutdown left and right, one might suspect the worst).

I'll keep you posted as soon as we have more info.

Update: it seems to be back online - just a minor glitch apparently... :)

EZTV site down?

Has the witch hunt reached EZTVefnet.org? The site has been down for a couple of hours.
After other popular tv links sites being shutdown about a week ago, this would be the next step in the ladder.

I hope this is just a minor glitch, updating servers, or so.

If it isn't - I hope to see a couple new sites popping up in the following days and continuing the excellent service they have provided till now.
Hydra will keep on going...

I still fail to see how any torrent tracker is more guilty than any search engine, providing just the same links...
And sharing freely available TV content??? How can that ever be a crime? Didn't you use to lend and share audio tapes/VHS/CDs/DVDs/etc. back in those days? This is the 21st century equivalent - and there's nothing nor no one that will be able to stop it.

Listen to what consumers want and provide it - or else we'll just find it ourselves.

As if traffic shaping was not enough...
